For children up to 9 years old
Pee Wee & Plush Puppy will take place on Saturday, October 4th while the National Specialty Judge is taking their lunch break.
Judge Robyn Powley of Wilmer, AL will judge these two free Special Attractions.
Pee Wee
Pee Wee is a fun and free Special Attraction for children aged 5 to 9, as a Pre-Junior Showmanship activity. The safety of all children, dogs and adults are the top priority. The ring will be managed by a licensed AKC Junior’s Judge. The Judge will explain the process and give simple directions. There will be no showing of dog teeth/bites. Please note the following important information:
Dogs must be at least 4 months of age
Dogs must have a proper collar and lead.
Border Collies with AKC, PAL, and ILP numbers are eligible.
No bitches in season are allowed.
Pee Wees and dogs must be accompanied in the ring by a parent or guardian or another appropriate responsible handler.
At the Judge’s discretion a second lead may be required to be put on the dog for additional adult control.
To enter, the child’s parent or guardian must fill out a Pee Wee Entry and Release Form. Sign up at the show at the Club Table in the grooming room any time prior to noon central on Saturday, October 4, 2025. All precipitating Pee Wees get a Rosette and prize.
Plush Puppy
Plush Puppy is another fun and free Special Attraction for children up to the age of 5 years. The ring will be managed by a licensed AKC Junior’s Judge. Exhibitors will show a stuffed animal (preferably a dog, but other stuffed animals will be allowed) on leash. The Judge will explain the process and give simple directions. The precipitants may be accompanied with a Parent or Guardian if that is desired.
To enter, the child’s parent or guardian must fill out a Plush Puppy Entry and Release Form. Sign up at the show at the Club Table in the grooming room any time prior to noon central on Saturday, October 4, 2025. All precipitants get a Rosette and prize.
